More Support For Spocko

Following up on Kvatch's earlier post re Spocko's Brain v KSFO...

KSFO now has up on its web page this announcement:
Lee Rodgers, Melanie Morgan, Officer Vic and Brian Sussman will address issues and concerns prompted by misleading information about the station on the Internet and in the mainstream media. The broadcast will air on KSFO Radio starting at 12 noon on Friday, January 12, 2007 and will continue as long as anyone has relevant questions of our hosts.
Both friends and critics of the station are invited to participate. Members of the news media and the blogging community will be encouraged to participate, as well.
Considering the timing, it's hard to imagine that this is anything other than a response to Spocko's efforts to inform advertisers of just what kind of a sewer they are wading in when they purchase spots on KSFO, as well as this story on those efforts in today's Chronicle. If you can stomach it and if you have the time, I encourage you to listen in and participate in the KSFO discussion tomorrow. Spocko can use the support, but even more than that the Bay Area needs to let KSFO know that its kind of hatemongering is neither welcome nor appreciated here.

Did anyone call in (or listen)? Can we get an after-action report?

I tried to listen in by streaming audio at work, but at about 12:20 I lost the signal. Up until then it was mostly Lee Rogers whining about how they were being persecuted and people were trying to take away their freedom of speech. I emailed him to strap on or buy a pair and deal with it. Nobody is trying to censor him; Spocko was just alerting advertisers to what their ad buys were supporting. No surprise, I haven't heard back from him.
