Where Does Bush Get the Authority?

According to President Bush, political appointees in the Justice Department drafted memos outlining the legal authority around restrictions in FISA and the Constitution that he believes allows him to authorize wire taps without a warrant or any kind of oversight. I think we're entitled to see those memos. If you agree, sign on to a Freedom of Information Act request for those memos.

Maybe it would be better to ask, "Where does he get the gumption?"

Because, sure as hell, this authority does not come from the Constitution!
